Takeover of the management by Mr. Alexander Vietz

2018

The new Arcobil 4 compressor welding unit goes into series production, meeting the latest EU emission standards (Stage IV).

2017

The range of special vacuum glasses is expanded.

2016

The new DGV 310K diesel welding generator goes into series production.

2015

Further development of the DGV product line of diesel welding generators. The first DGV 280K units are produced. 25 years of Vietz welding technology in Leipzig.

2014

Delivery of the 400th diesel welding generator built in Leipzig

2012

The next innovation from Vietz Leipzig; the Arcobil 3 compressor welding generator is launched

2011

Mr. Eginhard Vietz retires from operational day-to-day business for health reasons. Transfer of general management to Mrs. Waltraud Vietz.

2010

The proven GDV series is redesigned and is launched as the new GDV 350.9.

2008

Another new development, the DGV 301 diesel welding generator, is delivered.

2006

The newly developed DGV 260 diesel welding generator goes into production.

2005

The production area is expanded with a new building.

2002

The production of diesel welding generators for Central Europe moves from Hannover to Leipzig.

2001

Management is taken over by Mr. Dietrich Wilke.

1997

The steady growth of the company means that space is urgently required. Mr. Vietz decides to construct a new, prestigious building with an exhibition hall, offices, workshop and warehouse in the Leipzig Nord-Ost business park. The quality and quantity of business and repair work increases many times over. From now on, power generators and vacuum equipment are produced in Leipzig.

1991

Establishment of a workshop to repair steel and plastic welding equipment.

1990

Eginhard Vietz founds the company in Berliner Straße in Leipzig as a trading company for welding accessories.
